About Artemisia's Garden

Greetings and Welcome to Artemisia's Garden.

We are a small family farmstead in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Situated between two rivers, on a gentle south facing slope, the fertile soil here has provided the foundation for all that we do. It produces beautiful food, flowers, medicine herbs, the inspiration for our landscape design company, and of course, large quantities of Artemisia! Used for centuries by herbalists and acupuncturists, dried Artemisia vulgaris, or Mugwort, is available for sale by the pound during the growing season. Our climate is a wonderful four seasons which allows for almost year-round gardening, with an opportunity for a season of rest and planning in the winter months.

So, take a look around, check out the slideshow for a sense of our naturalistic landscape design approach, and take a moment to read about our kitchen garden workshop series. We are available at susan_hager@copper.net to answer any questions, schedule appointments for design consultations, or to sign up for a workshop.

Thank you for visiting and Green Blessings to you.
